Meet the Staff
We’re here to pass the baton!
No, we can’t do everything. In fact, Jesus set His church up with a key responsibility of leadership being the passing of the baton to the members. It is the members who do the work of ministry.
Check out the domino-effect in this verse….
“And he gave…pastors and teachers; {12}For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: {13}Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-13)
“God has given some to be pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of ministry, so that the body of Christ (church) may be built up until we all become mature, just like Christ.” (paraphrase)
