Why Memorize?

We don’t memorize simply for the sake of knowledge; we do it for the sake of holiness. As the Psalmist wrote, we store up God’s Word in our hearts so that we might not sin against Him. By carrying His promises with us every moment, we gain the strength to choose His path over our own.
